Tire shop software
Updated
Gearboxly is repair shop software with a Tire mode you switch on in Settings. Quote a set of tires with your per-tire fees built in, text it for approval, and keep the tire size on the vehicle. It also does the front counter: appointments, tread measurements on an inspection, and payments. Below is what works for a tire shop today and what does not yet.
What this shop needs
- Fast tickets for walk-ins and a calendar for booked installs
- Quotes customers can say yes to from their phone
- Tread depth and condition recorded with photos
- Stock counts for what is on the shelf
- Reminders that bring customers back for rotations and the next set
- Tire-specific tools: size search, TPMS and tire storage
What Gearboxly does today
- Tire mode quotes. Add a set of tires with size, brand, model and quantity, then apply a package that adds your per-tire fees such as mounting, balancing, valve stem or TPMS and disposal. You set every amount, including any state tire fee.
- Quick tire quote and vehicle tire size. Start a quote with only a name or phone number and no vehicle, and save the tire size on the vehicle so it is filled in next time. The tire registration number (DOT) can print on the invoice.
- Repair orders and canned jobs. Open a ticket in seconds and add services like mount and balance or rotation as jobs with your own labor rate.
- Inspections with measurements. Record tread depth and add photos to findings. The customer sees them on their phone.
- Estimates and approvals. Text the quote. Customers approve or decline each line and sign from their phone. A tire quote shows as one clear line, like 4 x Michelin 225/65R17, approved or declined as a whole.
- Appointments. A week planner with drag to move, confirmation and reminder texts, and online booking on the Growth plan.
- Inventory and parts pricing. Track quantity, bin location, cost and shelf price with low-stock flags, and price parts with your own markup matrix. It is general parts inventory, so tires are entered like any other part.
- Payments and follow-up. Card, cash, check or a text-to-pay link. Service-due reminders and win-back texts come with the Growth plan.
What it does not do yet
- There is no tire inventory by size, brand or DOT code, and no stock search by tire size.
- There is no good, better, best choice on one quote yet, and no look-up of tire sizes by vehicle.
- There are no TPMS sensor tools and no tire storage or seasonal swap tracking.
- There is no tire catalog or supplier ordering inside Gearboxly, and no tire rotation or torque re-check reminders yet.

Questions shops ask
Does Gearboxly have tire quoting?
Yes. Switch on Tire mode in Settings, add a set of tires to a repair order, and apply a package of per-tire fees that you set. The customer approves the quote by text link. Check with your accountant on which tire fees are taxable in your state.
Does Gearboxly track tire inventory by size?
No. Inventory is general parts inventory with quantity, bin location, cost and price. There is no tire stock search by size, DOT inventory, TPMS tools or tire storage today.
I need something tire-specific. Who do I tell?
Tell us what you need on the contact page. Real shop requests decide what gets built next.
Is there a free trial?
Yes. Every shop starts with 14 days of the AI plan, free, with no credit card. Plans start at $99 a month per location (Core), with unlimited users and no contract.
