The program
Gearboxly Shop Notifications is the text messaging service built into Gearboxly, the shop management software operated by Pioneer Vision Consulting LLC. Each auto repair shop that uses Gearboxly sends texts to its own customers, and every message starts with that shop’s name so the customer always knows who it is from.
These are service messages about a customer’s own vehicle and appointments. They are not advertising, and shops may not use this program to send marketing to customers who have not separately agreed to it.

How customers opt in
A shop only texts a customer who has agreed to it. Agreement is never a condition of any repair, purchase or appointment, and a customer who says no is contacted by phone or email instead. A customer can agree in one of three ways:
- Online, when booking. The shop’s booking and contact forms carry a separate, unchecked checkbox, shown below. The form works the same whether or not it is ticked.
- At the counter. The customer asks for text updates when dropping off the vehicle and signs a repair order that records it.
- By phone. The customer tells the shop they want texts, and staff record it on the customer’s file.
Gearboxly stores a record of every consent: the date and time, where it was given (for example, “booking form”) and the exact wording the customer agreed to. A live example of the booking form is at our demo shopautostargarage.com/bookrsquo;s booking page.
Stopping texts
Reply STOP to any message to stop all texts from that shop. END, CANCEL, UNSUBSCRIBE, QUIT and STOPALL work too. You will get one message confirming it, and nothing after that. Reply START to turn texts back on. You can also ask the shop in person or by phone.
Opt-outs are kept permanently, so a customer who said stop is never texted again by mistake.
Help
Reply HELP to any message for the shop’s contact details. For anything about the program itself, email support@gearboxly.com.
