What is the Scoreboard?

Whenever two sides are competing — a driveway basketball game, a family board-game night, a five-a-side match — someone has to keep score, and 'wait, what's the score?' is the argument nobody wants. This scoreboard settles it: two big tap-to-score panels, a game clock, and names you can set, all on the screen everyone can see.

It saves the game on your device, so a stray refresh won't wipe the score.

What does this tool do?

It shows two large team panels. Tap a team's number to add points — one, two or three at a time, whichever you set — and use the minus buttons to fix a misclick. A built-in stopwatch times the game, and you can rename each team. The whole state is remembered in your browser between visits.

It's deliberately sport-agnostic, so the same board works for anything with two sides and a score.

Tips

  • Cast or plug the screen into a TV so the whole room can see the board.
  • Rename the teams to real names so nobody loses track of which side is which.
  • Use the minus button the moment you mis-tap, rather than trying to remember it later.
  • Reset scores and clock together from the reset button when you start a new game.

Common mistakes to avoid

Wrong points-per-tap

Fix: Set it to match the sport first, or every tap scores the wrong amount.

Forgetting to start the clock

Fix: Tap start when play begins; the stopwatch doesn't run on its own.

Not fixing mis-taps immediately

Fix: Use minus straight away so the score stays trustworthy.

Expecting cross-device sync

Fix: The game saves on this device only; run it on the one screen everyone watches.
