What is the Bomber?

Bomber is a Bomberman-style maze game: you're dropped into a grid of walls with enemies roaming it, armed with bombs. Blast through the soft walls, hunt down every enemy, and grab power-ups along the way — while making very sure you're not standing in the cross when your own bomb goes off.

It plays instantly in your browser with keyboard or touch controls, and gets harder every level.

What does this tool do?

You move around a maze of hard walls (permanent) and soft walls (destructible). Drop a bomb and, a few seconds later, it explodes in a plus-shaped blast that destroys soft walls and any enemy — or player — caught in it. Some destroyed walls reveal power-ups. Clear all the enemies to advance to a tougher level.

It's the classic risk-and-timing loop: bombs are your only weapon, but they're just as dangerous to you.

Tips

  • Always plan your escape before you drop a bomb — know which tile you'll retreat to.
  • Use corners: hard walls block the blast, so a wall between you and the bomb keeps you safe.
  • Bomb soft walls early to open escape routes and reveal power-ups.
  • Grab 🔥 range and 💣 count power-ups quickly — they make clearing enemies far easier.
  • Herd enemies into dead-ends and trap them with a bomb rather than chasing them in the open.

Common mistakes to avoid

Standing in the blast line

Fix: The explosion travels in a straight cross — step off the bomb's row and column before it detonates.

Bombing with no escape

Fix: Check your retreat tile first; never bomb yourself into a dead-end.

Chasing enemies in the open

Fix: Trap them against walls or in corridors instead of running them down.

Ignoring power-ups

Fix: Extra range and bombs make every later level easier — collect them.
